Wow - you've made it to episode 5!

Thanks for sticking with us. You're about ready to start educating your friends and family about disability representation. Or just let us do the hard yards, and send them our way!

This episode, Jason rambles on with Robyn and Jason McCurry - a man with a variety of lived experiences of disability, who works in empowering young people with disability to create the change they hope for in the world. Yes, I know - another Jason! Let's call him Jason M.

These 3 ReFramers chat about:

  • The Politician... Ryan Murphy's Netflix series which follows quite a diverse group of characters who battle it out for political power at an American high school. The show explores disability experiences through multiple characters, with a special mention going out to Ryan J. Haddad who plays the role of Andrew Cashman - a student with cerebral palsy.

  • A Quiet Place... This dystopian action thriller features quite a positive, realistic and nonchalant portrayal of disability. It's not overly hyped, pitied or made into inspo-porn. Plus, it's a great film and features an A-List cast. The best part? One of the main characters is played by an actress with disability. The worst part? When it was released, it actually wasn't made fully accessible to the community of people they were representing. *insert disappointed face*
